Sorry for my post. I like the NLT, but was bothered by something. Psalm 146:2 reads like this in the NLT: "I will praise the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praises to my God with my dying breath." The part "my dying breath" sounds great, but is this accurate? Most other translations have something like "as long as I live." The phrase "with my dying breath" is very strong and dramatic but I am afraid that the drama is put in there artificially. This is an example why I just can't make the NLT my main Bible. Maybe you can help shed some light as to why Psalm 146:2 was translated this way. I really want to enjoy and trust my edition of the NLT...please help me!
I've responded to Danielo's query in a separate post called Psalm 146:2."
